A graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Hubbard School of Journalism, Liam was formerly the Staff Photographer at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul before transitioning to freelancing full-time in 2022.

Before then, Liam held positions with the Naples Daily News in Florida, NPR in D.C., and both the St. Paul Pioneer Press and Minnesota Daily in the Twin Cities.

An empath by nature, Liam approaches his work heart-first and enjoys making photos that explore themes of nostalgia, Americana, the Midwest, masculinity, and queerness.

He is currently participating in the 2026-2028 Documentary Photography Advanced Mentored Studies program with James Estrin and Ed Kashi at Anderson Ranch in Colorado

Liam is available for assignments in Minnesota and the surrounding midwestern region of the United States.
